Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli is on the verge of securing his second ICC ODI World Cup trophy, with the final against Australia slated for November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina is firmly throwing his support behind the seasoned batsman, predicting Kohli’s potential 51st hundred in this crucial championship match.

In the first semi-final, the Men in Blue successfully halted New Zealand’s challenge, while Australia eliminated South Africa in the second knockout match. Kohli, showcasing an exceptional performance, achieved his 50th century in the fifty-over format against the Kiwis, earning commendation from Raina for his stellar contributions in the global tournament.

“Virat Kohli is a formidable player and has consistently delivered in significant matches. With his 50th century already secured in the semi-final, there’s a strong possibility of witnessing his 51st against Australia in the final. Kohli has a penchant for performing against the Aussies, boasting a record of eight ODIs against them. I am confident he will shine in this title-deciding match,” expressed Suresh Raina to RevSportz.

Raina also shared his insights into Mohammed Shami’s remarkable bowling display, stating, “Mohammed Shami has been exceptional, attacking the stumps and delivering deliveries that are virtually unplayable. His seam position is impeccable. When facing a left-handed batter, Shami cleverly shifts to bowling from round the wicket. Credit is also due to Rohit Sharma for Shami’s success, as he has strategically placed an attacking field to support his pacer.”
