On Tuesday, Jasprit Bumrah, the star bowler, caught attention by unfollowing his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Mumbai Indians (MI), as reported by CNBC TV 18. This has fueled speculation regarding his future with the five-time champions.

Adding to the intrigue, Bumrah shared a cryptic message on Instagram: “Silence is sometimes the best answer.”

This development comes on the heels of Mumbai Indians’ recent announcement about the return of all-rounder Hardik Pandya after a two-year hiatus. Notably, Pandya was not retained ahead of the mega auction in IPL 2022 and had joined Gujarat Titans. Under his captaincy, the Titans secured their maiden IPL title in the first season but fell short in the previous edition’s final against Chennai Super Kings.

Despite Pandya’s success with the Titans, the 30-year-old has surprisingly made a comeback to Mumbai. To facilitate Hardik’s return, Mumbai Indians traded all-rounder Cameron Green to Royal Challengers Bangalore, securing INR 17.5 crore in the process.
