Rashid Khan refrained from favoring either team in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 final between India and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium on November 19.

During his appearance on Club Prairie Fire, Rashid was tasked with choosing a team with a better chance of winning the crucial match. In response, he acknowledged the outstanding performance of both teams, highlighting India’s unbeaten streak of 10 matches and Australia’s triumph in their last eight games. Rashid emphasized the even odds of the match, stating that it’s a fifty-fifty proposition, with either team capable of emerging victorious on the given day. He recognized the pressure on India, playing in front of over 100,000 spectators, while also acknowledging the challenges that Australia might face.

Rashid also provided insights into Afghanistan’s performance in the tournament, expressing national pride. He mentioned the team’s heightened confidence after defeating England and securing victory in four matches. Despite believing they could have reached the semifinals, Rashid pointed out that a dropped catch by Glenn Maxwell proved costly, as Maxwell didn’t give them any chance after reaching fifty.
