Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has commended KL Rahul’s outstanding performance in all formats of the game as India gears up for the Super-4 stage of the Asia Cup 2023. Despite missing India’s group-stage matches due to injury, Rahul is poised to make a comeback in the upcoming matches.

During a discussion on his YouTube channel, Chopra lauded Rahul’s exceptional ability to excel in various batting positions, a quality that is relatively rare among cricketers.

“The ongoing discussion about KL Rahul’s significance in the Indian squad has been a topic of fervent debate. Despite primarily opening the innings, he stands out as one of the very few cricketers who can adapt and perform equally well in different batting roles,” remarked Chopra.

Chopra further underlined Rahul’s impressive record spanning all formats of the game.

“Viewed from the perspective of the Indian team, only five players – Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, and KL Rahul – have registered centuries in all three formats. Consequently, KL Rahul is a player who consistently excels in all formats,” concluded Chopra.
