India’s red-ball talisman Cheteshwar Pujara, who has played over 100 Test games, scored more than 7000 runs, failed to make a name for himself in white-ball cricket, as the 35-year-old played just five ODIs for India and never made his T20I debut.

Recently, Pujara failed to find a place in India’s Test squad for the West Indies series owing to his poor run and is busy with his county club Sussex, playing in the Royal London One-Day Cup.

The right-hand batter stunned cricket lovers on Sunday when, Pujara, playing against Northamptonshire, struck an unbeaten hundred. The Saurashtra-based cricketer scored 106 (119), which included four fours and two sixes. With the help of Pujara’s knock, Sussex put 240 runs on the board. Here is the video.

Notably, Pujara has played 119 List-A games and amassed 5383 runs, which includes 15 centuries and 32 half-centuries. Despite a strong effort, Pujara’s century went in vain, as Sussex suffered a three-wicket defeat.
Besides Cheteshwar, India’s star player Prithvi Shaw, who is finding it hard to find a place in the team, also featured in the game, as Prithvi, playing for Northamptonshire, scored 26 (17) and struck four fours.
